Illini Lose Third Straight

The Illini lost to Purdue Wednesday.
CHAMPAIGN-The Illini's shooting improved a bit from Sunday's game at Northwestern, but not nearly enough. They lost on their home court to Purdue Wednesday 66-58. It's their third straight Big Ten setback.

The Illini made only 38.5% of their shots from the field. They were 7 of 21 from three point range. They were also badly beaten on the boards 42-28.

The Illini led by four at halftime 33-29.

7' center A.J. Hammon led the Boilermakers with 17 points.
