Legislators Could Be Called Back For December Special Session

SPRINGFIELD - A deal to solve the state's $100 billion pension crisis may be close.

Sen. Steve Stadelman (D-34th) says the General Assembly has been instructed to clear their calendars for Dec. 3rd and 4th.  Although, there's been no official word from the governor if there will be a special session called for those dates.

We Are One Illinois, a union coalition representing workers at the bargaining table, have declared emergency days next week and in December.  They want members to call legislators and say they oppose the pension reform deal currently on the table.  The unions say it's unfair and unconstitutional.
