ROCKFORD - The second man involved in the Marie's Pizza armed robbery and shooting is sentenced.

Desmond Bellmon received 20 years in prison today.  He pled guilty last month to first degree murder charges.  Bellmon was one of four men who attempted rob the pizzeria back in October of 2011.  An off-duty sheriff's deputy managed to get a hold of a weapon and fire, killing Michael Sago Jr., who was one of the suspects.

Even though Bellmon didn't pull the trigger, state law says Bellmon is liable for murder since a crime he was a part of ended in someone's death.

Last Friday, the third and final man involved in the robbery, Brandon Sago, was found guilty by a jury.  He's scheduled to be sentenced Dec. 27.
