Motorists Asked to Avoid Alpine and Harrison Intersection Friday

Work to traffic signals means they won't be working all day.
ROCKFORD -- One of the busier intersections in Rockford will be managed by stop signs while a traffic signal cabinet is repaired.  Crews will begin work on Friday at 8:30am on the intersection of Alpine and Harrison and hope to have the repairs complete by 4pm.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area if possible, and use extreme caution if they must pass through.  Backups are possible during higher traffic volume times of the day.
