The extreme cold can wreak havoc on devices like your smart phone, tablet, or laptops.  It can cause your battery to drain faster, increased risk of cracking your screen, and condensation could form on the inside.

AT&T is offering a few tips to keep your mobile devices safe because you could find yourself in need of those devices to keep you alive if you get stranded in the cold:

  • Keep phone close to you so your body heat can keep it warm
  • Don't leave it in your car for an extended period of time
  • Don't bring it out with you when shoveling
  • Use a protective case
  • Consider a Bluetooth device so your phone can doesn't have to be exposed
  • Use touchscreen gloves
