Packers Fall 17-0 in Preseason Opener

Aaron Rodgers moved the ball in his lone possession on the field, but the Packers couldn't put any points on the board in a 17-0 loss.
The Green Bay Packers got plenty of looks at the quarterback position, and their number one guy got the job done, but the offense couldn't put any points on the board in a 17-0 loss.

Aaron Rodgers completed a 50-yard strike to James Jones and finished 3 for 5 for 62 yards. Graham Harrell got the majority of the snaps, finishing 12 for 19 for 76 yards and an interception.

Newly signed Vince Young was the signal caller that most were waiting to see, but he only got one possession on the field, finishing 1 for 3 for 7 yards. Head coach Mike McCarthy had expressed concern earlier in the week about Young's familiarity with the playbook and understanding of the offense going into the first live action of the year after only four days in Packers camp.

Slightly concerning to Packers fans might have been the secondary. The group gave up 263 yards and two touchdowns to a committee of Carson Palmer, Drew Stanton, Ryan Lindley and Caleb TerBush.

The Packers play next on August 17th against the St. Louis Rams.
