Red Cross Hosts Donation Drive for Disaster Victims

ROCKFORD - The Rock River Chapter of American Red Cross held a donation drive for the disaster victims in central Illinois.
ROCKFORD - The Rock River Chapter of American Red Cross held a donation drive for the disaster victims in central Illinois.

Red Cross volunteers were out in their parking lot accepting cash and check donations today. Scott Evans, a Red Cross volunteer, said no matter how big or small the donation, every bit of it helps.

"It's heartwarming to know that residents of Rockford are stepping up and doing something positive to help others in need."

The Red Cross chapter in Freeport also held a donation drive today.
