Rockford Teen Pleads "Not Guilty" To Dorothy Galloway's Murder

ROCKFORD - A local teen says he's not guilty of killing a well-known community activist.

UPDATE (11/1/13): Littleton pled not guilty during an arraignment hearing Friday afternoon.  He'll next appear in court Dec. 13.

UPDATE (10/28/13): A Grand Jury indicts Littleton on the following charges:

  • 3 counts of 1st degree murder
  • Attempted 1st degree murder
  • 2 counts of aggravated driving under the influence of drugs involving death
  • 4 counts of aggravated driving under the influence of drugs involving great bodily harm
  • Unlawful possession of a stolen motor vehicle
  • Reckless Homicide
  • 2 counts of reckless driving

If convicted and sentenced to the maximum for each charge, Littleton could receive a prison sentence of 300 years.

ROCKFORD - The man accused of causing a deadly accident is in court Monday.

Dontrell Littleton is charged with aggravated DUI involving death and reckless homicide, among others.

He was released from the hospital Friday following last Sunday's accident. Police believe he was driving a stolen car while high on drugs, and crashed into two other vehicles on Spring Creek.

Community activist Dorothy Galloway died in the accident.
