Two kinds of drivers in particular are caught breaking the law in Belvidere over the Labor Day weekend.

Belvidere Police issued 110 tickets over Labor Day weekend.  A decent chunk of those involved seat belt violations and drivers driving without insurance.  Belvidere Police received funding from the state to hire off-duty officers from Aug. 16 - Sep. 12 to beef up its Labor Day patrols to keep roads safe.

Officers say they'll continue with targeted traffic enforcement in the coming months.
