Staff Predictions 9/7/12

<br>The Bear Blitz staff makes it's predictions for the NFC North Divison and for the Bears-Colts game.
What will the race in the NFC North look like this season? And will the Bears open with a win over the Colts Sunday? Our staff offers up its predictions.

Aaron Bennett-WCIA 3 Champaign
The Bears will beat the Colts 24-3. Chicago's improved offense will put up points against the young Colts defense. On the flip side the Bears have an experienced, rejuvenated defense that will make Andrew Luck struggle through his NFL debut.

NFC North Picks: Packers (12-4), Bears (10-6), Lions (10-6), Vikings (4-12)
The Packers have it all, experience, athleticism, proven winners. They'll win the division hands down. The Bears have a manageable schedule and they're a team with a lot to prove on both sides of the ball. The Lions have tons of talent, but have yet to put it all together. In my opinion predictions of 11 or 12 wins is too generous. They won't be that good.

Kurt Pegler-WMBD 31 Peoria
The Bears will beat the Colts 31-13. I think the Bears will make life difficult for Andrew Luck in his NFL debut, and I believe the offense will be able to move the ball against the Colts.

NFC North Picks: Packers (13-3), Bears (11-5), Lions (9-7), Vikings (6-10).

Scott Leber-WTVO 17 Rockford
The Bears will beat the Colts 28-17. The Bears offense will be more potent than in the past. The Colts are vastly improved, and Andrew Luck will probably be a Hall of Famer one day.  But for now he'll make some rookie mistakes and have some rough spots against a veteran Bears Defense.

NFC North Picks: Packers (12-4), Bears (11-5), Lions (8-8), Vikings (3-13)
The Packers still have some question marks such as their running game and their pass rush, but their offense will carry them to the division title. The Bears will be right behind them. Maturity issues and a weak defensive secondary will relegate the Lions to .500.
