Stateline Activists Protest U.S. Military Action in Syria

Anti-war protestors make themselves human billboards tonight.

Activists gathered over an I-90 overpass near Rock Cut State Park to protest U.S. air strikes in Syria. Groups taking part include Rockford Sons of Liberty, Occupy Rockford and the Northern Illinois Light Brigade.

They held up illuminated letters spelling out their message. They're urging lawmakers to vote no on getting involved in another foreign conflict.

“We're going to send a message to our elected officials that we don't want to get involved in another foreign war and we're urging them to vote no," explained Activist Del Wasso.

Wasso also mentions letters have been sent to several lawmakers including Cheri Bustos, Adam Kinzinger, Mark Kirk and Dick Durbin protesting U.S. military action in Syria.
