Packers Gobbled Up By Lions

The Packers were dominated by the Lions 40-10 on Thanksgiving Day.
DETROIT-The Packers have struggled without Aaron Rogers. But Thursday's game in Detroit was more than a mere struggle for the Pack. They were dominated in every way in a 40-10 loss.

The Packers were outgained 561 yards to 126. The Lions ran 79 plays to the Packers 42.  The Packers also gave up seven sacks including one by Ndamukung Suh for a safety.

Matt Flynn failed to spark the Packers offense. He completed 10 of 20 passes for only 139 yards and no touchdowns. The Packers only touchdown of the day was scored by their defense. Nick Perry stripped Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford of the football in the second quarter. Morgan Burnett scooped it up and ran into the endzone.

The Packers running game generated only 24 yards. Eddie Lacy was held to 16 yards on ten carries.

The game was tied at 10 in the second quarter, but the Lions reeled off 29 unanswered points.

The Lions snap a nine game losing streak on Thanksgiving Day games. They also take over sole possession of first place in the NFC North with a 7-5 record. The Packers drop to 5-6-1. They have their first five game winless streak since 2008.
