WTVO/WQRF - Nicholas Sheley's third murder trial will have to wait.
A Rock Island County judge pushed back the start date to May after a request filed by Sheley's attorney, Jeremy Karlin, according to the Quad City Times. It was originally scheduled to start in January. Karlin says a DNA expert needed more time to analyze evidence.
Sheley is accused of killing four people: Brock Branson, Kilynna Blake, her 2 year-old son Dylan, and Kenneth Ulve. Blake was Sheley's fiancee.
Sheley has already been convicted for the murders of two other victims. In total, he's accused of killing eight people in Illinois and Missouri.
