Two Men Involved In Southeast Rockford Shooting Headed To Prison

ROCKFORD - A pair of plea deals will land to criminals behind bars.
UPDATE (1/8/14): Ibarra-Cornado was sentenced to four years in prison last week.  Miguel Cantu, 20, agreed to a plea deal. He will receive probation an a lesser charge.

ROCKFORD- Two men are behind bars, accused of shooting a man on Rockford's southeast side in August.

Officers arrested 21-year-old Daniel Ibarra-Cornado and  Miguel Cantu, 20 in Walworth County, Monday.

Both men are charged with attempted armed robbery and aggravated battery with a firearm.  Police believe the two shot a 25-year-old man in the back at 3207 Westgate Parkway, August 23rd.

Both suspects are in the Walworth County Jail. They will be extradited back to Illinois.
