Two Suspects Hold Up Southeast Rockford Convenience Store

ROCKFORD - Police are on the lookout for two men who held up a convenience store Friday morning.

ROCKFORD - Police are on the lookout for two men who held up a convenience store Friday morning.

It happened around 11:30am at Park Grocery at 102 15th Avenue.  Police say two black men armed with handguns ordered three people inside to lay down on the ground.

The suspects then took their cell phones and wallets and took off.

The victims were the shop's owner, a friend, and an employee.

The suspects are described as:
1) Black, male, 6'1", 160lbs, medium build, last seen wearing a red, long sleeve shirt and blue jeans.
2) Black, male, 6'1", 160lbs, medium build, with tattoos of letters on his right hand, last seen wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans

After the incident, the store's owner closed for the day.
