“Bear Down – Low Down”: Wildcard Week

Bear Blitz

It’s wildcard week for the Bears. After beating the Vikings, 24-10 last Sunday, they’re facing none other than the defending Super Bowl champs, the Philadelphia Eagles in this Sunday’s wildcard round at Soldier Field.
As it stands, Chicago could be without wide receivers, Taylor Gabriel, Allen Robinson, and Anthony Miller; plus, safety, Eddie Jackson and linebacker, Aaron Lynch.
Philadelphia’s Super Bowl MVP QB, Nick Foles is expected to start in Sunday’s game, despite an injury that left him with bruised ribs against the Washington Redskins.
Former Eagle, Trey Burton is preparing to face a team he won the Super Bowl with last year. He says he’s excited to see some of his best friends again – four of whose weddings he stood in.
Burton, alongside other vets like Danny Trevathan say they’re using their experience to help the younger guys prepare for the playoffs; like Tarik Cohen, who says he plays Fortnite to help calm him down.
For offensive lineman, Kyle Long, it’s a family affair, as he gets ready to face off against brother and Eagles defensive end, Chris Long. To add icing on the cake, it’s also their NFL Hall of Famer father, Howie Long’s birthday on Sunday.
