Another major injury could cost Kevin White the remainder of this season.
The Bears confirmed Monday that White has a broken shoulder blade. The injury happed in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s season opener against the Falcons. White made a short catch and he was hit hard from behind. He immediately left the game.
The injury might require surgery. The Bears are expected to place White on IR leaving open the possibility that he could return late in the season.
White had two receptions Sunday. He has played in only five regular season games in his two-plus seasons. Leg injuries cost him most of his first two seasons.
In other injury news linebacker Jerrell Freeman suffered a pec injury. He is also in concussion protocol. Runnig back Benny Cunningham has a high ankle sprain.
