The Chicago Bears have signed veteran free agent wide receiver Bennie Fowler to a one-year contract.

For his career, he has 56 catches for 698 yards and five scores. He also caught two passes for 35 yards in the AFC Divisional playoff win vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers in January 2016 and caught the final two-point conversion pass from Peyton Manning in the Super Bowl 50 victory over the Carolina Panthers.

Fowler originally signed with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent in 2014, spending his first season on the practice squad before moving up to the 53-man roster the past three seasons. He played collegiately at Michigan State University where he caught 77 passes for 1,146 yards and 10 touchdowns during his junior and senior seasons
