Packers quarterback Brett Hundley threw for 212 yards and a touchdown as Green Bay gets the season sweep of the Bears with a 23-16 win.
Hundley made his biggest plays in the fourth quarter. He threw a 17-yard touchdown pass to Davante Adams with 5:29 left in the game to give the Packers 23-13 lead. Then with just over two minutes to play Hundley connected with Adams again on a third and ten to give the Bears little time for a possible game-tying touchdown.
On the other end the Bears offense is still struggling to score touchdowns. Mitch Trubisky threw for a career-high 297 yards and a touchdown. But the Bears also settled for three field goals.
The Bears toughest break came in the second quarter when a challenge backfired in the worst possible way. Running back Benny Cunningham took a screen pass down to the two-yard line on a 23-yard catch and run. Head Coach John Fox challenged the spot and the replay showed Cunningham fumbling the football as it hit the pylon turning a possible touchdown scenario into a touchback for the Packers defense.
The Packers have now won eight games in a row at Soldier Field including playoffs.
The Bears drop to 3-6 on the season. They will host the Detroit Lions next Sunday at Soldier Field.
