Kyle Long has suited up for the Bears for the final time this season. He’s been placed on Injured Reserve ending his season.
This is the second straight year Long wound up on IR. This time it’s a shoulder injury that he suffered last Sunday against the 49ers that prompted the Bears to shut him down.
Long has been bothered by ankle and shoulder issues all season, but he has tried to fight through them.
This trip to IR happened on his 29th birthday. Long’s likely replacement at right guard will be Tom Compton.
