The switch has been made. Mitch Trubisky will make his Bears regular season debut as the starting quarterback next Monday night when the Bears host the Vikings.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter was the first to report the quarterback change Monday morning.
Trubisky has waited patiently on the sideline through the first four regular season games after being the second overall pick in the NFL Draft in April. Mike Glennon meanwhile turned the ball over eight times while the Bears dropped three of their first four games.
During the preseason Trubisky shined at times. He passed for 364 yards with three touchdown passes and no interceptions. His quarterback rating was 106.2.
