Kathleen Cohen - Eyewitness News in the Morning anchor

Kathleen Cohen joined the Eyewitness News Team in October 2018 as a Morning News Anchor.

Kathleen previously served as a digital media producer for WBBM-TV in Chicago, 4 p.m. News Anchor for WAND-TV in Decatur, Illinois, Weekend Anchor for WIFR-TV in Rockford, and Reporter/Anchor for Lakeland News PBS in Bemidji, Minnesota. She also worked for iHeart Radio and Radio Disney in Chicago.

Kathleen attended University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois where she graduated one year early, earning her bachelors degree in mass communication with a concentration in broadcast journalism and media arts.

Kathleen is originally from the northwest suburbs of Chicago. In her free time she enjoys playing violin, spending time with friends and family, going to the gym, playing with her dog Cocoa, and traveling.

She took one year off from her news career to travel, then volunteered for four months teaching English to grade school children in an underprivileged elementary school in Israel.

Kathleen has a passion for telling stories about people making a difference in the community — the stories that give people faith in humanity and highlight positivity in the world.

Feel free to reach out with story ideas or just to say hi! She would love to hear from you.
