An 11-year-old juvenile was arrested for burglary to Stateline Auto Parts, the second time the business has been robbed in over a week.

Officers were called to the store, located at 1000 Lee Street, at around 9:30 p.m. on Monday, where two young boys were being watched via the business’ security cameras. Officers set up a perimeter around the building and ordered the suspects out, neither of whom complied.

An officer was able to catch one of the suspects. The other, in his mid-teens, escaped custody.

Officers found numerous vehicles with doors or hatches open, and each glove box had been searched. A soda machine in the building was also damaged.

The 11-year-old was charged with 4 counts of burglary, criminal damage to property and criminal trespass to property.

Police are investigating a connection between this burglary incident and a similar one that occurred at the same business on Sunday, July 8th, in which two juveniles, one as young as 12-years-old, were arrested.
