Dear Kinnikinnick Community families,
It is with deep sadness that I inform you of a loss in our district. An eighth grade student, Robert (Bobby) Figinsky, died last night in Roscoe. This is a very difficult time for the Fignisky’s and our entire Kinnikinnick School District #131 family.
We will be having conversations about Bobby with the Roscoe Middle School children at school today. We have additional counselors/social workers in the District today and tomorrow to support both staff and students. We will meet as a staff and discuss how to respond to questions about Bobby and we will try to maintain as normal a routine as possible given these circumstances.
While the Figinsky’s have given us permission to share this information, please respect their time and privacy at this difficult moment.
Thank you for your understanding and support as we help all our students support each other and deal with grief. The school district has extended its condolences to the family.
