2 Rockford Suspects Arrested Thanks to Tip

A tip led Rockford Police officers to two men wanted on outstanding warrants.

Officers arrested William Woodard, 47, and Demarcus Latin, 27, Friday night.  They took them into custody at a home on S. Fourth Street between Kishwaukee and Sixth.

Investigators say Latin saw them and jumped out of a second story window.  But, they arrested him right away.  Officers found Woodard hiding in the attic.

Woodard was wanted on several charges, including retail theft, a larceny charge out of Boone County, and parole violation.  He’s now charged with resisting.  Latin was also wanted on parole violation.  He faces an additional charge of resisting as well.
