23-year-old attacked with razor in Rockford armed robbery

A 23-year-old man was attacked by two men while walking down the street Sunday. One of the men cut the victim with a razor.

Rockford Police say they were called to the 1200 block of South 6th Street around 11:30 a.m. where the victim described being confronted by two black male suspects, between 20-25 years old, who demanded money.

A suspect with short, thin dreadlocks and tattoos on both hands was armed with a razor and cut the victim’s arm, police say.

The alleged assailant was described as wearing a black sweatshirt, dark pants, and red/black Nike shoes.

The other suspect was described as wearing a light blue sweatshirt and jeans, weighing approximately 250 pounds.

The suspects fled the scene with the victim’s cash.

The victim was treated at a local hopsital for a non-life threatening injury.
