A second man has been taken into police custody for his alleged involvement in a bank robbery on Tuesday.

Police say Jeremy L. Hines, 37, of Rochelle, was arrested early Wednesday morning. Hines has been charged with Possession of Stolen Property.

The Ogle County Sheriff’s Office says they received a holdup alarm from Holcomb Bank at 400 E. IL Rte. 38 in Creston around 2:04 p.m. on Tuesday.

Employees of the bank told officers that a man wearing a black hat and Chicago Bears jersey with a bandage on his face robbed the bank and then fled on foot.

During the investigation, a deputy allegedly recognized William Wayne Clark II from previous meetings with him.

Clark was arrested for a Class 2 Felony and taken to the Ogle County Jail.
