3 Killed in Wrong Way Driving Crash on I-88

News

A driver going eastbound in the westbound lanes of I-88 died and killed two others in a head-on crash.

It happened early Friday morning at milepost 125 near Naperville.  Illinois State Police say a Toyota Camry being driven by 30-year-old Domenic Andreoni was driving the wrong way down the highway when it hit a Chrysler 300 head-on.  The two occupants of that car, 32-year-old Ali Erhaima of Aurora and 40-year-old Shiva Inampudi of Naperville along with Andreoni all died at the scene.

No one else was in either vehicle.

Westbound lanes were closed for most of the morning and traffic detoured off the interstate, but are back open now.
