A large garage goes up in flames on Rockford’s east side.
This was the scene in the 5800 block of Garrett Drive — near E. State and Mulford — at around 5:15 Sunday night. Firefighters blasting the 4-car, detached garage with water to put out the flames. Fire officials say there were no cars inside and no one was hurt.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. It caused around $40,000 dollars in damage.
