$4 Million Donation Relocating Stateline YMCA to Downtown Beloit

A donation to the Stateline YMCA will help bring the organization back to its original home in downtown Beloit.

Diane Hendricks, Chairperson of Hendricks Commercial Properties, has committed to donate an 80,000 square foot building located in the historic Ironworks Building Complex. The donation, valued at $4 million, is a major step in the relocation process for the Stateline YMCA and completion of a new state-of-the-art facility for Beloit and the stateline community.

The move downtown will allow the YMCA to expand and provide enhanced quality and convenience for the community. The proposed facility will feature a warm water pool, lap pool and an indoor aquatic play area. More basketball courts and exercise rooms will also be added.

There are also plans for the creation of an interactive space designed for families with child-care needs.

Doug Britt, CEO & Executive Director of the YMCA stated, “We are grateful for Diane’s generosity and commitment to our community and downtown. Serving families has always been at the heart of the Y.”

The new facility is expected to open in early 2017.
