The 5TH Annual Rockford Walk to benefit Lou Gehrig’s Disease, also known as ALS, will be held this Saturday, September 23rd from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30p.m. at Rock Valley College.
Jessica Dickman and Peggy O’Connor of the ALS Association of Greater Chicago give information on how you can help victims impacted by the disease on the morning show. The organization surpassed their fundraising goal of $100,000 dollars, and proceeds support the ALS Association of Greater Chicago’s mission of providing local care services, funding of the ALS multidisciplinary clinic at MercyHealth, advocacy efforts, and the investment in worldwide research efforts.
ALS is a neurodegenerative disease that weakens muscles and impacts physical function.
