63 year-old man hurt in Rockford car-to-car shooting

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) – Police investigate a car-to-car shooting Monday morning.

Rockford Police say that just after 9 a.m. a shooting happened near Avon and School Street. Investigators said the victim was in his car when a gunman in a white SUV pulled up next to him and started shooting.

The victim was not shot, but was taken to the hospital with minor injuries resulting from the incident.

No word yet on a motive behind the shooting. The suspect is at large.
