Guard your cats, earthlings! A reboot of the classic sitcom “ALF” is reportedly in the works.

Variety reports the reboot is in development at Warner Bros. Television, but no writer is attached to the project.

The original program aired from 1986-1990 on NBC and chronicled the misadventures of the titular, cat-eating Alien Life Form (“ALF”), from the planet Melmac, who crashes in the suburbs and takes up residence with the middle class Tanner family.

One idea for the reboot would involve ALF emerging from Area 51, where he has been held captive since the original series finale.
