An arrest has been made in the murder of a couple in their Freeport home.
The Freeport Police Department was alerted to the crime by Logan County Sheriff’s Deputies after a traffic stop of 33-year-old Mitchell Davis, who was reportedly driving the vehicle he was in without permission.
They responded to the 100 block of Park Crest Drive where they found 66-year-old Patrick Davis and his wife 59-year-old Carlotta Davis stabbed to death.
Mitchell is being held in the Logan County Jail on two counts of 1st Degree Murder, and his bond has been set at $750,000.
