Authorities Inspecting Car Submerged in Sugar River Near Shirland

Local fire officials are investigating a car found submerged in the Sugar River Monday morning.

Rockton Fire divers were inspecting the vehicle found in the river off of Yale Bridge Road near Shirland. So far no body has been found inside. A tow truck was called to remove the car from the water. It is unclear if anyone was injured.

Shirland and Durand Fire Departments are also investigating.
