A black bear, looking to beat the heat, decided to slip into a backyard pool in California.
The bear climbed over several fences in Granada Hills on Tuesday before finding the right sized pool to take a dip in.
Temperatures in the area were about 90 degrees at the time. The bear hung out in the water for about 30 minutes before going on with it’s day.
Los Angeles Police sent out a tweet to residents in the area to be alert and stay indoors.
Our guest in Granada Hills today. Remember, when officers ask you to stay inside, please follow their directions. While adorable, these bears are still wild animals. pic.twitter.com/Srs02tMP5l— Captain Steve Lurie (@LAPDLurie) July 17, 2018
The bear was later tranquilized by a wildlife team and relocated to the Angeles National Forest
