Bears Fans Hopeful New Head Coach Will Restore the Bears-Packers Rivalry

Chicago Bears fans are hopeful that new head coach Matt Nagy will bring the franchise back to elite status.

“I’m surprised it didn’t happen sooner to be honest,” said RBI Manager Bradley Giamalba.  “My dad and brother are huge Bears fans.  So, we talk about it a lot.  I was expecting it to happen midway through the season.”

“I think it’s a great idea, you know, they really did need a new coach, they were just terrible before,” said RBI Bartender and waitress, Jade Sederquist. “Hopefully, he’s going to do a lot of better things for them.”

Matt Nagy was an offensive coordinator with the Kansas City Chiefs and some are questioning his ability to manage the team on both sides of the ball. Packers fan Chuck Gilbert likes the fact this will be Nagy’s first head coaching position.

“No, I think that anybody, who has a first opportunity to become a head of anything that’s in business or in sports, that’s a great opportunity for them to give everything they got and I think that’s what you should expect from Matt,” said Gilbert.

Surprisingly enough, some Packers fans are even excited about this new move. They hope that this energizes one of professional football’s greatest rivalries.

“I would like to see them be successful  with it just because that Bears rivalry, that Bears-Packers rivalry hasn’t but around in, I don’t know, the last 6, 7, 8 years,” said Giamalba.

“He will never be good enough to beat the Green Bay Packers, said Gilbert.
