The Beloit Fire Department unveiled new additions to the team Tuesday.
Per tradition, firefighters wet down the two new trucks now in service. Crews then pushed them back into the station. The trucks have been in the words for the past 18 months. They’re replacing two other rigs that now have a new mission.
“Both of those rigs were purchased by a company that will rehabilitate those trucks and then ship to them third world countries for service,” said Beloit Fire Chief Brad Liggett.
These are the first two trucks out of three to be put into service. The total bid cost around $410,000.
