Beloit Police Dispute Victim’s Story on Fight

News

A fourth teenaged suspect faces charges connected to a Beloit fight caught on video.  But, the circumstances leading up to the fight are now in question.

Both police and the victim have different versions of what happened.

16 year-old Josh Musick can be seen being kicked and punched by four attackers.  On Wednesday, he told that he was just headed to a basketball court with some friends.

“That is not the case,” said Beloit Lt. John Kaltenburn.  “That is not what he had to us.”

Police say Musick had every intention of getting into a fight with one of the attackers.

“There was a dispute that did go back a couple of weeks ago regarding some clothing, a belt in particular.”

While both victim and police seem to have different views on the circumstances leading up to the fight, investigators are moving ahead with their investigation.  The four teenaged suspects between 14 and 16 years old.  They will be charged as juveniles.
