Beloit Wheelchair Man’s New Mission

A Beloit man, known for using his wheelchair to travel to Wrigley Field and Lambeau Field, will embark Tuesday on a new mission.

Dennis Schulze is headed to the White House.  He’ll fly to Wilmington, DE.  From there, he’ll travel 109 miles on his wheelchair.  He says it’s to honor the first responders who’ve been killed in the line of duty and that the President will be there to meet him at the end of the journey.

“I just put a challenge out there.  We sent a letter to [President Trump],” said Schulze.  “He read it and agreed to shake my hand at the White House in honor of the vets and the fallen officers.”

Schulze expects to reach the White House by June 22nd or 23rd.
