Belvidere man arrested for burglary to T.G.I. Friday’s restaurant

27-year-old Corey Hatfield, of Belvidere, was arrested after he was allegedly seen on the roof of the T.G.I. Friday’s at CherryVale Mall, burglarizing the restaurant.

Cherry Valley Police say they received a call saying a man was on the roof of the building, located at 2408 South Perryville Road, around 2:30 a.m. early Friday morning. 

When police arrived, they located and arrested Hatfield at the scene. Officers say the business had been burglarized.

He is being held in the Winnebago County Jail without bond.
