Belvidere Man Arrested on Cocaine Dealing Charges

A suspected drug dealer is in custody following a three month investigation by the Belvidere/Boone County Metro Narcotics Unit along with Boone County Sheriff’s Detectives and the DEA.

37-year-old Daniel Lamb of Belvidere was arrested Thursday, and is charged with two felony counts of Unlawful Delivery of a Cocaine within 1,000 Feet of a Public Park.  He is being held on $100,000 bond.  If convicted, each count carries a possible sentence of 6-30 years in prison.

Police say more charges are possible as their investigation proceeds.
