Blagojevich Will Appear via Video for Hearing

Blagojevich Lawyers File Appeal_4970302226204216649

Rod Blagojevich won’t appear in person at his re-sentencing hearing next month in Chicago.

A lawyer for the imprisoned former Illinois Governor said Wednesday Blagojevich will instead participate in the August 9th hearing by video from prison in Colorado.  A prison warden refused to grant him a furlough to travel to Chicago.  An appeals court ordered the re-sentencing last year, after tossing out five of Blagojevich’s 18 corruption convictions.

He’s already served four years of a 14 year sentence.
