Boone County man sentenced to 12 years on drug dealing charges

A Boone County man was sentenced to 12 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after he was discovered with drugs in his possession.

Larry G. Lewis pled guilty to one count of Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, stemming from a 2016 investigation in which anonymous tips told police Lewis was conducting drug sales in the area.

Police performed a traffic stop on his car and found cocaine, cannabis, empty bags and a scale in Lewis’ vehicle.

He was sentenced on July 12th to 12 years in prison and 3 years of parole.
