Police caught a boy in the act of burglarizing a Rockford elementary school.
It happened just after 5 p.m. Saturday at Bloom Elementary School on Brendenwood Rd. Police say they arrived to find someone had forced one of the school’s doors open. After a brief search, a juvenile male suspect surrendered to officers.
He’s being charged with Burglary, Criminal Trespass to State Property, and Criminal Damage to State Property.
