Anne Weerda, of Rockford’s Burpee Museum joins the morning show to discuss the Monarch Butterfly Release party this weekend.
She brought in a few of the fluttering insects for us to meet before they migrate.
If you attend the event, you’ll also have an opportunity to tag a Monarch. Tagging allows them to be monitored once they are released.
The party is this Saturday, September 23rd at the Burpee Museum from 10:30 until 12:30.
The event is open to all ages, and your general admission ticket includes the party. You can purchase tickets at the museum or online.
