EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — Walmart will allow customers who have food stamps to pay for their online grocery orders nationwide.
With this rollout, Walmart is the first retailer to offer this method for online grocery pickup customers.
Walmart began the pilot program in 2018.
With Walmart’s goal of having more than 3,100 pickup locations open by the end of the year, the SNAP (formerly known as food stamps) payment option is designed to make it easier for more customers to pick up their groceries without leaving their cars.
All customers have to do is order and choose a pickup time via the Walmart Grocery app or online at walmart.com/grocery, then pickup and pay with their EBT card.
