A Crystal Lake car dealership has paid off slain Deputy Jacob Keltner’s auto loan.

Project Blue Light: Illinois reported that Gary Rosenberg, the owner of Crystal Lake Chrysler Jeep Dodge, learned that Deputy Keltner lived nearby and his family had purchased a van from the dealership two years prior.

Rosenberg paid off the loan, saying “it was the right thing to do.”

Keltner was shot and killed at the Extended Stay America hotel in Rockford on March 7th, while he was trying to serve a warrant for the arrest of Floyd Brown.
