Cat Rescued From Rockford House Fire

News

Firefighters rescue a cat from a Rockford home after it caught fire.

It happened around 6 p.m. Sunday in the 2600 block of Starkweather Rd. While it doesn’t look too bad from the outside, officials say they estimate the damage cost to be anywhere from $30-40,000. No one was home at the time of the fire, but crews rescued one cat. A dog is still missing.

The cause is under investigation.
