A Cherry Valley Police officer has been arrested on child pornography charges.
Otoniel Molina is charged with child pornography, indecent solicitation of a minor, and grooming. The Winnebago County State’s Attorney handed down the charges on the 35-year-old after an investigation by the Loves Park Police Department.
Molina works for the Cherry Valley Police Department, but lives in Loves Park. The Cherry Valley Police Department placed Molina on paid administrative leave after learning of the charges.
Molina is being held on a $50,000 bond. He is due in court Monday, April 1st. If convicted, he faces up to 30 years behind bars.
